Can I Use My Compact Stroller From Birth?
Newborn babies can use strollers as long as the stroller has been adapted for the newborn with a car seat or a bassinet.
Once your baby has reached 6 months, depending on their head and neck control, they should be able to sit up in their stroller without the need of a car seat or bassinet. However, it is important to remember that all babies are different and all babies develop at different paces.
Is 4 Too Old for a Stroller?
Once your child reaches 4 and is beginning to walk more, you should begin to stop taking your stroller out on short trips and start incorporating other ways of travel for your child like a tricycle.
Of course, if you are going on a long day with a lot of walking you may want to take your stroller so your child has somewhere to rest when their legs get tired. Ideally, once they reach 4, they should be exploring on their own without the need for a stroller.
The Difference Between a Stroller and a Pushchair
The main difference between a stroller and a pushchair is the frame, strollers can be compacted down into really small sizes. A pushchair can be compacted down but not as small as a stroller can.
